1) Who We Are
salahdesk.com is operated by Non profit organization Rajathan Muslim Samaj. For the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), we act as the Data Fiduciary for personal data we process.
2) What We Collect
- Account data: name, email, phone/WhatsApp, password.
- Professional profile data: photo, qualifications, registrations/licenses, specialties, languages, experience, practice locations, fees, availability.
- Verification/KYC data (professionals): ID documents, council/registration numbers, proof of address, practice certificates.
- Usage & device: pages visited, interactions, device identifiers, IP address, approximate location.
- Communications: messages you send us (including WhatsApp), support tickets, grievance reports.
- Optional sensitive data: where you choose to upload health-related or other sensitive documents, we store them with heightened access controls.
3) How We Use Data
- Provide, operate, and improve the Platform and professional listings.
- Verify professional credentials and deter fraud.
- Communicate about your account, changes, security alerts, and support.
- Moderate content, enforce Terms, and protect users.
- Show basic analytics (aggregate, non-identifying) to improve services.
- With your consent, send updates or promotional messages (opt-out anytime).
4) Legal Bases / Consent
We process personal data with your consent or as otherwise permitted by the DPDP Act (including for reasonable purposes such as preventing fraud, ensuring network and information security, and compliance with law). You may withdraw consent at any time; this will not affect prior lawful processing.
5) Children’s Data
The Platform is for users 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact the Grievance Officer for prompt deletion.

7) Sharing & Disclosure

10) Retention
We retain data only as long as necessary for the purposes stated or as required by law. Profiles may be archived or anonymized after deactivation, except where retention is required for legal obligations or dispute resolution.

Subject to law, you may request: (a) access; (b) correction; (c) deletion; (d) grievance redressal; (e) consent withdrawal; (f) information on processing. We will respond within legal timelines or, where not specified, within a reasonable period.
12) Updates
We may update this Policy. Changes will be notified via the Platform or email. Continued use after changes indicates acceptance.
